California appeals court has overturned the rape conviction of a man that entered a woman’s room and had sex with her as she thought it was her boyfriend. The conviction was overturned b/c it was a boyfriend relationship and not her husband. Segment 2 TYT has won a video Podcast Award! A province in Indonesia has banned women riding motorcycles that they straddle. A company is developing a product that will allow people to drain/pump their stomach after eating. A restaurant owner has offered customers 5% off of their meal if they drop off their cell phones before eating.

Hour 1 Segment 1 Cenk hosting today. The latest on the Chuck Hagel nomination and the fight over his character. Videos of Lindsey Graham criticizing the nomination. The Republican opposition to Hagel is based on his sane comments about blind support for Israel and the Iraq War. The RNC Spox tweeted that Obama has a diversity problem since he nominated 3 old white men to his cabinet, guys that supported things that the Republicans support. Republicans also pointed out that in 1998, Hagel attacked someone for being aggressively gay. Again, they’re acting as if they support gay rights. The same Exec Dir of the Log Cabin Republicans that criticized Hagel for his stance on gays, was extremely supportive of the former Senator not too long ago. It was discovered that other groups other than the LCR funded this attack ad against Hagel. Segment 2 More on Bill Kristol’s group that funded the smearing of Chuck Hagel. Pres Obama’s nomination of John Brennan to head the CIA appears to be a bad choice. Excerpts from Glenn Greenwald’s piece outlining why Brennan is a mistake. Segment 3 Dick Armey, the head of FreedomWorks, admitted that they have had “embedded media.” Glenn Beck was one of their main guys that was paid $1 million by the organization to say nice things about them on air. Sen Feinstein’s bill is trying to put some clams on the rampant gun culture in America by appealing to the supporters of the gun culture. Videos of Ted Cruz speaking out against the attempts. Lobbyists’ contributions to elected officials and the incredible return they get in the form of tax breaks.
