Obama chimes in on Sanders and Clinton. Iowa polls. Trump's lead and Cenk's prediction. Bloomberg. Ted Cruz' health insurance. Cenk and Iadarola hosting. President Obama spoke about Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton in an interview with Politico. Video of the president saying that Sanders has tapped into a nerve of the Democratic voting block, but that it's not like his own entry when he beat Hillary. Cenk thinks that Obama is definitely in favor of Clinton for the nomination. Video of Obama claiming that Hillary Clinton is a progressive that has been battle tested by the opposition. Cenk continues about how he thinks Sanders is under Obama’s skin because he’s a true Progressive who thinks he can do what Obama didn’t. Video of Obama outlining both candidates’ advantages. Polls in Iowa with one week to go until the Caucus have Sanders leading by 1\% over Clinton and even more in New Hampshire. John predicts that both Sanders and Clinton will win Iowa, to make sure he’s right. On the GOP side, Donald Trump has opened up a 7 pt lead on Cruz since the last debate. Michael Bloomberg is likely to consider a run for the presidency in March, but the news is being floated now. The reaction is not taking him seriously, but Cenk disagrees. Cenk predicts that if Bloomberg won, he’d take Joe Scarborough in as a running mate. Ted Cruz’ campaign has been forced to admit he lied about losing his healthcare while on the campaign trail.
