The Young Turks: November 05, 2014

Ana joins Cenk for SCS. Artie Lange had a string of masturbatory tweets about loving the “hot chick” on ESPN’s morning show, which devolved to a slavery fantasy with the Black sports anchor. A woman is photoshopping her face on hundreds of nude photos to prove a point about the bad idea an article tells young girls to do with nude selfies. Ana reads a #tytlive tweet and goes off on the viewer. A pastor that was feeding a homeless man on the street was approached by police and told him to drop the plate and stop his lawless activity. Marijuana dispensaries in states that legalized weed are being taxed by the government at skewed rates to the extent of even shutting them down. Cenk hosts TYT today. Voter turnout numbers show that old voters came out 37% vs the 12% of young voters. This is the largest disparity between the two demographics and Cenk is upset. Senate Democrats came out blaming Obama for their losses yesterday, while Obama advisors admitted that the candidates ran Dem-Lite. WH officials also revealed that Obama gave up on his goals long ago. Video of Biden admitting that they are ready to compromise if they lose Tuesday night. Video of Obama speaking about the huge losses after the midterm elections is shown. Establishment thinking is saying that Obama didn’t lean Right enough, but Cenk is going Cenko Unchained to explain that a large majority of voters actually have Liberal leanings which is why ballot measures dramatically won yesterday. ⅔ of voters said that economic inequality was their big issue, but Dems ignored it. Some Republicans even supported Democratic issues like minimum wage at the end of the campaign while Dems were running to the Right. Prop 45 in California that was created to put more restrictions on insurance companies from raising rates without oversight. It lost once tons of money was thrown at deceiving voters on the issue. The other big loss in California was Sandra Fluke after a billionaire put $1.3 billion into a very small state senate race to beat her. Cenk goes over the devastating election results from last night. Ted Cruz is being considered to head the Commerce, Science, and Transportation board. Inhofe is in line to head the committee in charge of climate change, but he’s vehemently against the idea. With these changes, scientific legislation and thought will be buried. Video of Charles Krauthammer pointing out that the GOP should pass a bill a week in order to completely change the country for the worse is played. Flashback video of Obama in 2009 pledging not to look backwards toward the criminal acts of the Bush Admin is also shown. Video of Ted Cruz taking the opposite approach, promising to have tons of hearings on fake scandals of the Obama Admin. Comparison of defeated Mark Udall to radical Cory Gardner and how spying on citizens will increase under the new Republican official. George P. Bush, Jeb’s son has been elected as Texas Land Commissioner. Cenk talks about how his background of being half-Latino has Republicans excited about using him as a bridge to fool Latino voters. Good news from Wolf PAC. Vermont pastor Dr. Steve Berry ran for state office in Vermont, per the request of WolfPAC and won. Cenk brings up past TYT videos mentioning Berry’s good standing. Finally, after NH state rep Steve Vaillancourt blocked WolfPAC’s resolution to get money out of politics, we backed a candidate to challenge him, and won. Show notes by Jayar Jackson
